Bob Glauber: Disciplining cheap-shotters a hit with McCaffrey

As a longtime wide receiver who was forced into retirement because of repeated concussions, former Giant and Bronco Ed McCaffrey is understandably concerned about the recent spate of hits that has led the NFL to redouble its efforts to promote safer tackling techniques.

McCaffrey is especially sensitive to the issue because all four of his sons play football. He wants them to play the game… (Story)

Ed McCaffrey will make an appearance at this Friday’s Denver Broncos rally in Larimer Square to promote “Orange Sunday.” All Broncos fans are encouraged to wear orange to Sunday’s game vs. the New York Jets at Invesco Field at Mile High.

The rally is scheduled to run from 3-6 p.m. Ed will be joined by fellow Broncos legends Billy Thompson and Randy Gradishar, as well as Broncos mascots Miles and Thunder, and the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders.
